The unloading of firearms requires a controlled environment and equipment capable of meeting the operational needs of each facility. For this reason, at Puigvert Ballistic we are introducing our new ballistic unloading station, developed to facilitate the safe handling of handguns and long guns in armouries, police stations and other professional facilities.
This new Class 2 configuration enhances the equipment’s protective capabilities and allows for the handling of 5.56 mm calibre firearms and 12-gauge shotguns.
Designed for the controlled discharge of firearms
The discharge unit provides a designated area for carrying out firearm discharge and inspection procedures. Its structure is made of cold-rolled steel and its interior chamber incorporates 45 mm of anti-ricochet rubber, designed to mitigate the effects of an accidental discharge.
The unit also features a top tray for the temporary storage of the firearm and a dividing shelf.
Protection for handguns and long guns
The new model is available in different configurations to suit operational requirements:
- Class 1: intended for 9 mm handguns.
- Class 2: intended for handguns and long guns, with capacity for 5.56 mm and 12-gauge calibres.

Optionally, it can be fitted with a wheel kit to facilitate its positioning and adaptation within the facility.

Ballistic testing carried out by AITEX
The safety of a discharge system must be backed up by objective testing. This system underwent ballistic testing at the AITEX laboratories in 2023, providing a technical benchmark for its containment capacity.
